How do we grade our cards, how do we seal them, and what type of case do we use?

We grade our cards using a 1200X digital microscope. We use this on corners, surface, and edging, it helps us determine what issues can’t be seen with the naked eye upon close examination. All card slabs are sealed with an ultrasonic welding machine.
Our slabs are made of high quality UV protectant, acrylic material, which can clearly and transparently show the details of your trading cards. Diamond edge design can protect your trading cards from bending and being scratched.

What size and type of cards can we grade at cga card grading?

As of right now we are only able to grade and encapsulate regular size cards. No cards smaller than standard. No jersey cards, no Topps baseball before 1957, or extra thick cards at the moment. In the future we hope to provide this service. Our slab cases will not fit these types of cards. Cards can be no larger than 2.5 x 3.5.

Do the Card Grading Authenticators authenticate in person autographs?

Most if not all other card grading companies will not slab a card if it has an in person autograph, we choose to do things differently here at CGA. We will slab the in person autograph, and will label the card as an IP Autograph, but we do not authenticate. We have no experts that work for us authenticating cards, if you see a card authenticated by us, it will have the company that authenticated the card on the label. If you see a card with an IP Autograph on the label, it doesn't mean we authenticated the auto. We have no way of knowing the authenticity of an on card autograph.

Turnaround time?

New orders will have a 10 business day turnaround. We are currently working on our order backlog on all orders placed before January 26, 2025, the backlog orders have a 3-12 month turnaround. These are only estimates. No turnaround time is guaranteed. Please be patient with us as we are trying to get caught back up, but we are currently taking new orders!
